"Shoeleather Christianity - James"  We invite you to join us for this interactive 13-week study of the Book of James from April through June, 2008  Personal study/reflection questions and small group discussion questions will coincide with the text being preached on Sundays.  All questions and sermons will be made available in print and online as outlined below.

Audio recordings of Pastor Nelson's sermons are available online for listening or downloading.  The full text of each sermon is also available online for viewing or printout.  Please see the list of available sermons below.  Alternately, you may subscribe to podcasts or download them from iTunes.com.  Audio CDs of the sermons may be obtained at the Information Booth in the Welcome Center.

Personal Study and Reflection Questions

Each week you will have the opportunity to prepare for the up-coming sermon. We have developed individual studies to help you understand the passage along with some practical application questions for you to consider. Print copies of these materials will be available in the bulletin each week, and electronic copies are available here. If you would like a notebook for your materials, they may be purchased in the Welcome Center for $5 on Sunday morning, or in the church office throughout the week.

Group Discussion Questions

A number of small groups have been formed to meet regularly to discuss the study questions and sermons.  Weekly group discussion questions are available here.  More information on Southern Gables small groups.

Scripture Memorization

A key element of the study of Romans is individual and corporate memorization of Scripture. We have designed five levels of difficulty of memorization so that you may choose a plan that fits you personally. The memorization resources page has links to memorization guides for these five levels and to other aids including the exciting new Southern Gables Verseminder.
