Maybe we are saying the same thing but the kingdom under Saul, David and Solomon was called Israel (all 11 tribes plus Levi) Rehoboam followed Solomon but soon thereafter the kingdom divided into Israel (north), with Jeroboam and Judah (south) with Rehoboam. So I suppose it could be said Rehoboam was the first king of Judah and the 4th king of Israel (I Kings 11:43).</description>
